LIFE CLIMAMED – Elche Meeting 19/11/2024

On November 19, 2024, the LIFE Programme ClimaMED project brought together partners and stakeholders in Elche, Spain, for an engaging networking event. The focus of the meeting was the mitigation of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in farming systems and the legislative proposals developed by the Greek Ministry of Rural Development and Food.

The event provided an excellent platform for Mediterranean representatives to exchange ideas, analyze legislative frameworks, and explore solutions tailored to their environmental and agricultural challenges. The Greek legislative proposals, which feature real-time GHG measurement systems and incentives for farmers, were presented as a model for discussion and adaptation.

By fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing, this meeting contributed to advancing sustainable agricultural practices across Mediterranean regions. Together, we pave the way for a more resilient and climate-conscious future!
