Utilization of technology in the creation of added value in meat produced by the rare Greek Shorthorn Cattle breed

Projects Overview

This project leverages digital technologies to connect local livestock farmers with specialty food markets, promoting rare indigenous breeds as a cultural and economic asset. By integrating herd management and traceability systems, it ensures high-quality, free-range meat reaches gourmet restaurants in Athens and Thessaloniki. Using digitanimal and kalaΘos, the project meets international standards in origin transparency, animal welfare, and logistics, strengthening the local meat sector.
